Recorder & Woodwind Festival:
Monday 9th March — Saturday 14th March 2009
General Festival:
Monday 23rd March &mdash Saturday 28th March 2009
The opening session for Recorders is expected to commence at 9.30am on Tuesday 10th March 2009 and will take place in St George’s United Reformed Church in Morpeth. The majority of daytime competitions will however take place on weekdays between 9.00am & 4.30pm at the Newbiggin Leisure Centre, Newbiggin by the Sea. The competitions on Saturday 14th March & Saturday 28th March 2009 will take place in St George’s United Reformed Church in Morpeth commencing at 9.30am.
The venue(s) for Evening sessions are not yet decided and may take place at Chantry Middle School, Mitford Road, Morpeth; at Newbiggin Leisure Centre or at St George’s URC in Morpeth. Definite details will appear in the Programme and will also be sent out in the competitors’ schedules – February 2009.
The Closing Concert featuring some of the Prizewinners will be held at 6.00pm on Sunday 29th March at St George’s United Reformed Church.
Closing Date for Entries in the Recorder, Woodwind & General Festival:
Not later than Monday 19th January 2009
Competitors are encouraged to submit entries for all sessions, other than Brass, before the end of December 2008.
Brass Festival Weekend:
25th & 26th April 2009
The individual & ensemble competions on Saturday 25th April 2009 will take place at St George’s United Reformed Church, Morpeth commencing at 9.30am. Please note new venue in Morpeth for this event.
The Brass Band competitions on Sunday 26th April 2009 will once again take place in the Sports Hall at Newbiggin Leisure Centre.
Closing Dates for Entries in the Brass Festival Weekend:
Not later than Monday 30th March 2009

All Entries are to be sent, with a stamped self-addressed envelope (See Rule 2/5), to:

The stamped, addressed envelope is necessary in order that entrants receive a receipt for entries and a copy of the appropriate competition Schedule. These will be sent out in early February 2009 (early April 2009 for Brass Festival).
Competitors are reminded that they must conform to all Rules of the Festival competitions.
